The competition is interested in protecting distribution network cabinets from theft and fraudsters and accidental access from people/animals/vehicles and vandalism, giving an alert in case the components are damaged or opened without authorization.
This is an electronic Request-for-Partners (eRFP) Challenge; the Solver will only need to submit a written proposal to be evaluated by the Seeker with the goal of establishing a collaborative partnership.
Distribution network cabinets are very common components of low voltage distribution networks. They are generally installed outdoors and they are made by an internal part with live electric power and an external part made of insulating material with the role of protecting electrical components from bad weather conditions, dirt, and unauthorized access. Therefore, Enel is looking for tamper-resistant solutions to protect distribution network cabinets (several millions), installed outdoors in public environments and/or in substations and give a clear and reliable alert in case the components are damaged, tampered or opened without authorization.
Submissions to this Challenge must be received by 11:59 PM (Central European Time) on July 15, 2019.
