How to wire a variable speed drive?

Posted July 20, 2018

The industry is growing fast and developing day by day. New methods and innovations are implemented in the different spheres of an industrial area.  Oil & gas industry needs new solutions every day to make the extraction more comfortable and efficient. That’s why Triol Corporation provides its customers with the most up to date technologies which deliver positive results.

Being a worldwide manufacturer, Triol Corporation is producing a wide range of equipment. It includes artificial lift surface equipment, submersible equipment, low voltage and medium voltage equipment, even software for oil&gas companies.

Due to its advantages and functions, variable speed drives are the most used piece of equipment nowadays.

It’s a machine that helps to regulate the rotational speed of the motor and the output frequency.

When installing of VSD it’s vital to pay attention to such factors as electrical connections grounding, location and environment, supply voltage, and protective devices etc.

Here, at we have a system of installation of variable frequency drives. Let’s describe how it’s done.

– Firstly, after the arrival of variable frequency drive to the destination point, our specialists check the general condition of variable frequency drive, it’s called a primary inspection. They examine the machine to make sure it’s not damaged after the shipping.

– Secondly, our technicians test the machine in the following order: input will be connected to the step-down transformer and output will be connected to the step-down transformer and then the Step-down to the motor. Then they power it up and check if the operation is correct.

– Thirdly, make sure variable frequency drive is installed on the solid ground.

And it’s done! You can use your variable frequency drive.
