Laptops usually lack the computing performance comparing with the desktop PC. What if you could take a desktop GPU and connect it to a laptop only when you needed the extra power?
Wolfe is an external GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) designed for MacBooks. It matches Apples minimalist design and provides some impressive performance. The company want to bring desktop class gaming and VR to Macs. Depending on application, you can expect almost seven times the performance you’d get with just a MacBook alone.
The Kickstarter has already surpassed its original goal of $50,000 nearly seven times over. It will be two models — one with the Nvidia GTX 950 and another with GTX 1060. If all goes as planned the Wolfe will help MacBook owners have power when they need it, while retaining portability. The promo video is below.
