Modular Keyboard Lets You Have As Many Keys As You Want

Posted August 30, 2016

1Kombos is a modular keyboard that allow you to work with as many sets of keys as you need at any time. This allows you to use it in sets of 25, 37,49 and 61 keys. Most of the keyboards are large, bulky and impractical for travel or some are portable but not professional. Kombos features audio quality comparable to professional grade keyboards used in a studio setting.

With a smallest configuration, it is made up of left and right end units. The left module is home to controls and 12 keys and push-locks into the 13 key right module. If 25 keys aren’t enough, you can snap left and right units apart and slot in one or more 12-key filler modules, up to a maximum of 61 keys.

It features 8 hours of continuous play from its Li-ion battery pack with a build-in Bluetooth 4.0, which allows for wireless connection to mobile devices such as tablets running music creation software, and compatibility with any USB-MIDI or MIDI compliant device.

This project is currently raising production funds on Kickstarter. If all goes to plan, shipping is estimated to start in May 2017. You can see the crowdfunding video below.
