The Fireside Audiobox is a Bluetooth-enabled audio player with flames that respond to a music. The lightweight, self-contained audio system stands 19.5 inches high, 14 inches wide and 4.5 inches deep. With its built-in Bluetooth technology, users are able pair it with any Bluetooth-enabled device for easy music streaming. The onboard Li-po battery provides more than 8 hours of constant music on a single charge. The 16.4 ounce propane canister typically lasts about 8 hours depending on pressure and the intensity of your music.
Once you fire it up with a lighter, the flames will flicker and leap to the music thanks to the sound waves passing through the cylinder. A dial on the control panel on the back allows for adjustment of the flame intensity. The tube and the tempered glass are designed to minimize heat. With an integrated shut-off valve in case the device is knocked over, it has reportedly met the safety requirements.
The Fireside Audiobox campaign is already funded on the Kickstarter. If all goes to plan, the flaming speakers should be delivered by May next year. The creator demonstrates the device in the video below.
