Fastest street legal EV in the world is reserved for the Genovation GXE, that has now set a new land speed world record of ~330.8 km/h (205.6 mph). The Genovation Extreme Electric car looks like a 2006 Corvette Z06, but underneath it places an electric motors that pumping out a combined 447 kW (600 hp) of power and 773 Nm (570 lb-ft) of torque.
Genovation set the new electric land speed record at Space Florida’s Shuttle Landing Facility, with the 330.8 km/h (205.6 mph) outdoing the 301 km/h (186.8 mph) it managed in February this year.
Andrew Saul, the CEO of Genovation, said: “We are thrilled that after setting a record earlier this year, we were able to further enhance the GXE’s performance and break our own record…”.
Anyone who wants the GXE, will have to wait for it, because it’s not on the public roads, it is in the testing and development phase. The order books are expected to open later this year. A video of the GXE’s record run can be viewed below.
