Kokoon is sleep sensing EEG headphones, comfortable to be slept in and smart to know how and when to adjust your music as you fall asleep and wake. The smartphone app give clinical levels of insight and the intelligence to help you improve your sleep.
EEG sensors are widely used in sleep clinics and hospitals and it is regarded as the way to accurately monitor sleep.
To keep the Kokoon headphones from getting hot and sweaty, it is developed a system of air circulation which maintained the acoustic seal but encouraged air to circulate about the headphone cushioning to reduce heat and moisture.
Kokoon adjusts your audio volume and equalization as you fall asleep so that it doesn’t disturb you once asleep. It blocks out external noises and disturbances which may compromise your deep sleep.
The app helps you understand what audio techniques work to get you to sleep so that you can better sleep the next time. Kokoon’s intelligent alarm identifies the perfect time for you to wake up, so you can start the day feeling alert and refreshed.
The project is already backed on the Kickstarter and has reached its funding goal of $100.000, the early bird pricing has already gone, but you can still pick up for $189. An estimated delivery is on February of 2016.
