The LHC accelerator

The Large Hadron Collider is the largest particle accelerator in the world. Protons follow a path 27 km (16.5 miles) in circumference, travelling at nearly the speed of light. Fermilab’s Dr. Don Lincoln tells us a little about this ultracool piece of equipment.
