A Smart Watch for Kids

Jumpy is an open-platform smart-watch for kids that encourages parent-child interaction. A smart-watch is designed by a Taipei-based hardware startup called JoyRay. The startup provides an open SDK that helps 3rd-party developers extend functionality and create more innovative apps. A smartwatch is designed for kids aged 5 to 8,

It has a detachable watch head, gyroscope, gesture and voice recognition, and Bluetooth connectivity that allows it to interact with other smart devices and bluetooth smart toys. Jumpy is an Android and iOS compatible. While kids play with Jumpy, parents get location trackers and activity monitors. It helps to get their offspring active and build healthy habits. A messaging tool helps to keep communication line opened.

The smartwatch’s Kickstarter price is $99 and it is scheduled to ship in March.
