Kickstarter project SnapJet is a hardware device that lets you print your smartphone pictures as Polaroid. It is a high quality open-source photo printer that interfaces with any smartphone. No apps and no wires needed.

SnapJet is able to scan an image from any display. There are also included an OLED display, USB, and BLE connectivity, for all the tinkerers and photographers to control exposures, hack, and reprogram the SnapJet.

SnapJet uses Polaroid 300 or Fuji Instax Instant Film. It’s a true analog instant film printer. The printer prints at a resolution of 1200 dpi, which means the sharpness and clarity will actually improve as phone-makers improve their screen resolutions. The battery inside is easily charged via a USB port. The minimum price of the SnapJet is $99.
