Jolla tablet

Posted November 19, 2014

Jolla – the Finnish company, and mobile startup, revealed the next step: Jolla is also making a tablet, which will be crowdfunded. Its first device was a smartphone, a year ago in Finland and has gone on to expand in Europe and Asia — most recently adding India and Russia. The handset runs the Sailfish OS — an extension of the open source MeeGo operating system.

Multitasking on Sailfish OS shows all your running apps in one single view. You can easily switch between apps, also control them directly from the multitasking view – for example, change your music or play and pause your video stream without opening the app in full.

Sailfish OS has the capability to run Android apps or native ones downloading via the Jolla Store.

It’s company’s policy never sell or share your data with anyone. There are no back doors or anything third parties could use for monitoring your activity.

The Jolla tablet will have the space of 32GB and there’s always the option to expand with a micro-SD memory card. Jolla Tablet’s display will match the resolution of iPad Mini 3, the 330ppi.
