Microsoft Office Mobile

Along-with the announcement of Microsoft Office for iPad , the firm has also made Office Mobile for iPhone and Android smartphones free today. You can download the new versions of Office Mobile from the App Store and Google Play.  Microsoft says the decision was made in order to align Office Mobile for Windows Phone with its iOS and Android counterparts, reported TNW.

Hence now Office Mobile lets smartphone users view, as well as edit, content on the go for free. An Office 365 subscription is no longer required for editing. Whereas one will require an Office 365 subscription to unlock editing capabilities on iPad.

Also TNW further added via Microsoft spokesperson that Microsoft is working on bringing Office to Android tablets, as well as a Metro version for touch-enabled Windows devices.
